Fall Home Decorating Ideas on The Budget

I know it is still early and most people are not ready to give up Summer just yet, but I love all things Fall and couldn’t wait to jump into decorating for it. Since I live in Canada I like to incorporate Thanksgiving decor into my Fall decorating and towards end of October I like to add Halloween touches but that will be a separate blog post.

I mostly decorate only my main floor and my front porch for Fall, unlike for Christmas when I go all out and decorate pretty much every nook and cranny in my house.

Since I like to decorate seasonally I like to keep my budget pretty tight and don’t splurge on too many items. Most of my decor is a form of a DIY for example, most of my decorative pillows are actual pillow cases that I have put together from thrifted materials. A lot of my decor is thrifted or comes form a dollar store.

Without further a do let me give you a tour of my main floor and my front porch.

I really like the traditional orange colour for Fall. Having said that you will see a little bit of blue in my decor and also some natural tones. This year I have to say that Costco mums have been amazing. They were so healthy and full and for $12.99 you can’t beat the price. The rest of the decor that you can see are DIY’s. The ladder back chair I have thrifted and re finished with chalk paint. Pillows on it are DIY’s and as well as both signs. The wreaths I have made with mostly dollar store materials except the twine wreaths themselves came from Michaels. I have video tutorials for almost all of these DIY’s and I will leave a link to the playlist down at the bottom of this post.

Once you enter into my house the entryway is pretty simple.

The beautiful foliage on my Bombay chest came from Dollarama. I have to say that this year their fake floral stems are great quality and stunning.

My living room is where my best work shows I think. I absolutely love the way I decorated my fireplace this year.

Love all the different pumpkins I used and different floral stems. I think there is lot of different texture and colour here and it all ties in so well. I kept the rest of the room decor simple so that way my fireplace stands out.

I took the opportunity this year to create a Fall Coffee Station since I Love Pumpkin Spice Lattes but don’t necessarily love the calories in store bought ones. I also decorated my tables centrepiece in a vary similar way as my fireplace in the Living Room

Moving on to my Family Room I tried to tie in all the rooms together here. With orange, natural elements and checkers. I wanted to have the room feel cozy and inviting and I think I have achieved it.

The last area in my house that I have decorated is an area that ties the kitchen with the dinette and the family room. I used lots of floral stems and earth tones.

I hope you enjoyed this little home tour for Fall 2019. If you would like to see it in the video you can watch it here https://youtu.be/Ahmm53W3HzM
